I am passionate about creatively capturing life’s big moments in a way that authentically reflects who you are as an individual, family. or couple.
I offer a laid-back and enjoyable experience where I get to come along side you and your family and capture your big life moments. I love cheering you on and aim to create photos that represent who you are in a way that is natural and fun.
I am also always down for sipping iced lattes, finding estate sales, traveling, or DIYing. I can’t wait to get to know you and help tell your story through photography!

I have always loved connecting with people and capturing moments in photographs.
My Story:
When I was in elementary school I entered a photography contest held by my orthodontist’s office. The plot twist, I didn’t even own a camera. Sooo I got my parents to get me a waterproof disposable camera (IYKYK) and went to town. I placed in the contest and my prize was, you guessed it, a camera of my very own. From there it was off to the races photographing anyone and anything that would let me. Finally in high school I saved up enough money to buy a DSLR camera for an upcoming mission trip to Uganda. It was incredible using my camera to document the lives of people in such a beautiful place.
I have been growing and learning ever since. I have asked questions to any photographer who would let me and have even had the opportunity to participate and learn from the pros on a photography mission trip to the jungles of central Mexico. It truly feels like a dream that I get to call this my job!

The P of Katie P. Photography stands for Parker which is my maiden name and also now my son’s name
My husband and I met in middle school but didn’t start dating until I invited him to prom by creating a parody song and dance I recorded and sent to him via Youtube link (Yes, it’s probably still out there. No, I won’t send you the link)
On a free Saturday morning I am most likely searching for local estate sales or at the local farmer’s market with the fam
I love kids and have my Masters in Social Work with an emphasis in children and families. I also work in children’s ministry at my church in south Jackson
